First Block:   Students in math class will begin review on multiplication and division.


Third Block:  The science class will begin reviewing the (5) food groups.  Students will complete activities on food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner to include healthy snacks.

Fourth Block:  The business class will begin working on review activities for counting money.
The review will include counting change as well as counting up to $100 using paper money to $20 dollar bills.


Tuesday and Thursday:

First Block:  Students in history will wrap up working on the fifty states.

Third Block:  The English class will continue working on how to correctly answer literal
comprehension passages after reading short and long passages.


Fourth Block:  Students in business class will continue working on counting money activities.

First Block: Students in history will receive a packet in class today on the fifty states, their capitals and some of the things each state is known for.   They will prepare for a quiz on Friday.

Third Block:  The English class will continue working on sequencing events in a story.  We will work on answering comprehension questions.


Fourth Block:  The business class will continue working on on-line job applications.  Students will be required to complete a job application independently using paper and pencil on Friday.


Tuesday and Thursday:

First Block:  The math class will begin reviewing basic math skills to include addition and subtraction for this week.


Third Block:  Students in science class will review seasons of the year along with the calendar.

Fourth Block:  Review and practice for completing paper and pencil job applications for quiz on Friday.

G. Wright - April 24-28

Monday, Wednesday and Friday:

First Block:  Students will work on review division with and without remainders this week.

Third Block:  Students in science will create a project on the seasons.   They will select a season, describe the features of that season and set up a scenario of what they would do during that season.
This project will be shared with the class on Friday.


Fourth Block:  The students in business class will learn and practice how to complete job applications.  We will learn how to do a handwritten as well as one on-line.


Tuesday and Thursday:

First Block:  The history class will complete a project on one of the (50) states.  This will include capital city, state bird, industry, song, population, etc.  Students will have to find at least 15 to 20 facts about their chosen state.


Third Block:  The English class will begin working on learning how to read short passages and answer literal comprehension questions.


Fourth Block:   We will continue to work on completing job applications.  Some students will work on handwritten and others will work on-line.

First Block:  Students will continue working with the (50) states.  This week they will learn the capital cities of each state.


Third Block:  The English class will continue working on sequencing events in a story.  We will focus on short stories.


Fourth Block:  Students will begin work on developing their own personal household budgets.


Tuesday and Thursday:


First Block:  The math class will begin working on division with remainders.


Third Block:  Students in science class will continue working on the seasons of the year.  They will also look at the months of the year during seasonal changes.


Fourth Block:   Students will complete their household budgets to share with the class
on Friday.

First Block:   Students in math class will begin working on division facts.  They will utilize the review of multiplication to assist them.

Third Block:  The science class will begin a study of the four seasons:  winter, spring, summer and fall.

Fourth Block:  The business class will begin working on learning how to do a budget.

First Block:   The history class will begin working on learning the (50) states and the capital cities.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday:
First Block:
Students will begin reporting on women's history presentations.

Third Block:
The English class will continue studying the main idea.  Students will be given short stories, paragraphs, and essays to identify the main idea.  The assignments will include questions as well as graphic organizers that students will complete.

Fourth Block:
The business class will continue working on identifying half-hour, quarter-hour, five and one minute increments on the clock.


Tuesday and Thursday:
First Block:
Students in math class will continue working on a variety of brain teaser activities to include addition, subtraction, and multiplication.

Third Block:
The health class will create their own healthy menus to help in the fight against diabetes.  They will present these menus in groups in class on Thursday.

Fourth Block:
The business class will continue working on counting money and identifying correct dollar bills and coins.   Students will work with counting dollars up to $100.00.   They will continue working on counting bills along with coins.

Students in health class will study the importance of fruits and vegetables as a dietary plan to keep Diabetes away or to a bear minimum.   (Some of us have family history of the disease)


The business class will continue studying elapsed time in terms of minutes within one hour increments.
