The history class will continue the unit on civil rights with the integration of the Arkansas school system involving the nine students that integrated a high school in Little Rock.

Students in English, Health and History will complete all assignments from assistance from Mrs. Wright and Ms. Plato.


The second period class will hear information on careers and how to prepare.

Students in English will put the finishing touches on their compositions.  They will check for sentence structure, spelling, transitions and punctuation.



The health class will review bacteria caused by poor personal hygiene which will include bathing and dental care.

Students in English class will develop a middle and ending paragraph to their writing assignment.


The Social Studies class will begin studying the Voting Rights bill that President Johnson later signed later into law.  Students will understand why the civil and voting rights bill occurred just about a year or so apart.

The students in English class will work on beginning paragraphs for compositions.


Students in health class will study how a home and school environment that is not properly clean and sanitized affects so much about and around us.  We will analyze diseases as a result.


Students in social studies will research the life of Lyndon Johnson and what inspired him from a high school teacher to President of the United States.

Students in English will begin looking at how to write a composition using a beginning, middle and ending.  Transitions will be incorporated.


The health class will continue working with the unit on germs and bacteria.  We will continue to study how they affect our homes, personal hygiene and other environments (school, shopping, restaurants, etc.)


The history class will begin looking at the Civil Rights bill passed by Lyndon Johnson and the effect on all of us as citizens.


Note:  Students will be involved in independent and group work assignments for each class.

The Health class will study and understand the difference between a germ and bacteria and how they affect each other.   Students will also learn how to eradicate bacteria (unhealthy).  Examples:  hygiene and clean surroundings.


Students in Social Studies will study and understand how the Voting Rights bill impacted the country in 1965 and today.  The class will also study the importance of women having the right to vote.
