Test in math today on multiplication facts.


We will begin wrapping up working on proper hygiene of hands and nails.

We will begin the week with introducing Black History.  The class will study history that begins with the election of the first Black President of the United States, to include the wonderful women depicted in the movie "Hidden Figures" working our way back to what has made history of Black African Americans so tremendous.


The English class will wrap up  Parts of a Story this week.   The students will have a quiz on Thursday.


Students in business will continue working on balancing a checkbook along with check writing.

We will continue to work on how Civil Rights changed because of Dr. King in our history class.


The English class will learn how to identify characters in a story when actual names are not apparent.


Students in business class will identify parts of the resume on a short quiz.   They will also continue to work on their resumes following the quiz.

The science class will continue the unit on hygiene.


Students in business class are continuing to work on check writing.  We are working on how to fill out the line of the check which includes spelling out actual dollar amounts.

The history class will continue with the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King.  We will wrap up this week with studying about his commitment and work in the civil rights movement.


The students in English class will continue with working on Parts of a Story.  Students will begin understanding the characters and settings in stories.


We will continue in business class with resume writing.  The class will continue reviewing parts of the resume as they continue to compose their own.

Students in history class will continue studying the life and work of Martin Luther King.  The class will learn about the upbringing and experiences that shaped his thinking and affected what he did as a leader in the world.


The English class will continue to understand the Parts of a Story.  Students will understand where character, plot, setting, conflict and resolution affect a short story, and novels.


Students in business class will learn about the parts of a resume.  They will be exposed to sample resumes before they begin creating their own resumes.
