G. Wright - March 27 - 31

Monday, Wednesday and Friday:
First Block:
Students will begin reporting on women's history presentations.

Third Block:
The English class will continue studying the main idea.  Students will be given short stories, paragraphs, and essays to identify the main idea.  The assignments will include questions as well as graphic organizers that students will complete.

Fourth Block:
The business class will continue working on identifying half-hour, quarter-hour, five and one minute increments on the clock.


Tuesday and Thursday:
First Block:
Students in math class will continue working on a variety of brain teaser activities to include addition, subtraction, and multiplication.

Third Block:
The health class will create their own healthy menus to help in the fight against diabetes.  They will present these menus in groups in class on Thursday.

Fourth Block:
The business class will continue working on counting money and identifying correct dollar bills and coins.   Students will work with counting dollars up to $100.00.   They will continue working on counting bills along with coins.

Students in history will continue working on their Women's history report to begin their presentations on Monday.


The health class will continue studying healthy eating and how important it is to incorporate the (5) food groups on a daily basis.


The business class will review elapsed time in terms of hours and minutes.

The math class will continue working on multiplication which will include various brain teaser exercises.  Students will be allowed to use calculators.


Students in health class will study the importance of fruits and vegetables as a dietary plan to keep Diabetes away or to a bear minimum.   (Some of us have family history of the disease)


The business class will continue studying elapsed time in terms of minutes within one hour increments.

Students in math class will continue working on multiplication facts using brain teaser activities to include shapes, money, two and three digit figures.


The health class will study healthy ways to avoid Diabetes that will include the (5) food groups and how to utilize them for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.


Students in business class will continuing studying telling time to include elapsed time of hours and minutes.


Note:  Activators and hands-on and written class assignments are included for all activities.

Students in math class will continue working on multiplication of one and two digit numbers.  The class is encouraged to use multiplication sheets as opposed to calculators to help them learn the process.


The health class will continue working on Diabetes in children and teenagers. 


The business class will continue working on counting money and making change between $20.00 and $50.00.

Students in history class will be assigned a woman to report on.   They will be given a rubric as a guide to put their reports together.


The English class will continue working on sequencing of a story.  This week we will focus on sequencing of short stories.


The business class will continue working on counting money between $20.00 and $50.00.

Students in math class will continue working on multiplication facts.  Some of the students are working on multiplication of facts by one digit while others are working on two digits by two.


The health class is continuing to work on the topic of Diabetes.  We are focusing on how Diabetes is now affecting children and teenager.


The business class is continuing to work on counting money to $50.00 as well as making and counting change.

Students in history class will focus on studying women who were and are historians and authors.


The English class will continue working on sequencing of events in stories.  Short stories will be the focus of this class.


The business class will continue working on telling time.  We will work on telling time by counting by fives.

The math class will continue working on money.  This week we will cover counting bills to twenty dollars along with learning how to count change correctly.


The science class will continue with the lesson on diabetes.  Students will learn how much fun and healthy it is to eat wholesome good food.


The business class will continue working on telling time.  Students will learn how the day transitions from a.m. to p.m.

Students in math class will continue working on money.  They will begin working on counting money from five dollars to twenty dollars.  The class will also work on using learning how to count money using combinations of dollars to twenty dollars to include change.


The health class will begin studying the affects of diabetes.  We want students to understand that we can all develop healthy diets before developing this disease.


The business class will continue working on telling time.  The students will continue with understanding the difference between the long and small hands of the clock.
