G. Wright - December 5

Group presentations for healthcare class will be presented today.  Class members will be asked to rate the presentations as well as ask questions.

The World History class will have their presentations on Indira Ghandi and Margaret Thatcher.

Students in Healthcare class will continue working on health insurance presentations to be completed and reading for presentation on Friday, December 5.

The World History class will complete their assignments on Indira Ghandi and Margaret Thatcher.  Presentations will be given on Friday.

The English Lit class will continue the reading of the novel "Tale of Two Cities."  The students will continue to contrast and compare what was happening in England and France during this period of time.  The class will divide into two groups.  One will report on England and the other France.  This assignment will be prepared for presentations for Monday, December 8.

Students in Healthcare class will begin to do research on the various health insurance plans available to the consumer.  This will be a group activity.  Each group will have the chance to chose the plan that they want to research and report on.  The choices include Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, Tricare, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.  Presentations will begin on Friday, December 5.

The World History Class will begin reviewing information on Margaret Thatcher and Indira Ghandi.  They will be asked to do an assignment on contrasting and comparing the personalities and leadership styles of both of these women leaders.  This will be done as a class exercise.  Class Presentation due, Friday, December 5.

The English Lit class will continue reading "Tale of Two Cities," by Charles Dickens.  Students will continue to use the on-line thesaurus to assist with vocabulary.  They will also continue to have group discussions and record reflections of their readings.

G. Wright - November 21

The World History class will continue their study on Indira Ghandi.  The class will research and discover what inspired this woman to serve her country as well as be the first.  The students will also begin studying on what may inspire both women and men to become world leaders, how they are alike and different.

Students will be allowed to complete and turn in late assignments for all classes.

Students in English Lit will continue working on class project in groups.  One group will be assigned England, second, France and third, the United States for the time frame of 1750 - 1760.  Again each group will look at the what was going on with the wealthy, the poor and working class.  The groups will examine differences as well as likeness.

The students in English Lit will begin to do a contrast and comparison on England, France and the United States from 1750 - 1760.  They will research such topics as the wealthy, those that were in poverty and people that were considered working class.

The English Lit class will continue reading "Tales of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens.  The reading groups will use the on-line thesaurus along with vocabulary as they continue reading.  They will also be required to record reflections on their readings.

The World History class will begin studying the life of Indira Ghandi, who was the first woman that served in a leadership role for the country of India.

The English Lit class will continue reading the novel "Tale of Two Cities."  They will continue working on vocabulary and character development.  Students will also be responsible for daily reflections on their reading.

The healthcare class will continue preparing for test.  They will also begin to make preparation to begin studying about the different health care plans available to the public, how they work and what impact the affordable care act  (Obamacare) has on healthcare.


Students in U.S. history will begin their presentations today on the amendments.

Students in English Lit class will begin reading the novel "Tale of Two Cities."  Each group will continue working on vocabulary using the on-line thesaurus.  Groups will also be responsible for selecting characters to study.

The healthcare class will continue reviewing for their test the following week.


The U.S. history class will continue to put final touches on amendment project for presentation on Friday.

Students in English Lit class will have an open book test today on Call of the Wild to complete this novel.

The healthcare class will continue to prepare for their test which will be administered the following Tuesday week of November 17.

The U.S. history class will continue working on amendment project in preparation for presenting on Friday.

The English Lit class will begin studying Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.  They will begin with a author study and vocabulary introductions.

Students in healthcare will continue to prepare for test as they complete their study guides.

The U.S. history class will continue working on class project involving the 27 amendments.

Students in English Lit will complete review for preparation of test for Call of the Wild.

The healthcare class will begin to prepare for test on the different occupations we have learned.  The students began working on a study guide on last week.  Test to be determined before the Thanksgiving holidays.

The students in U.S. history will begin to work on class project for amendments 1-27.  Upon completion students will present their projects in groups.  They will decide if the projects will done using cartoons or graphic design.

G. Wright - November 7

Students will wrap up and complete their study guide on "Call of the Wild" and look at additional clips of the movie in preparation for a test on Monday.

The World History class will continue to study the life and work of Indira Ghandi.

The U. S. History class completed a scavenger hunt on amendments 1 - 27.  We discovered as a class that the first (10) were ratified in 1791.  The class is planning a class project on all (27) of the amendments.  Amendment 27 was placed on the books for U.S. citizens in 1992.

Incomplete assignments will be finished and passed in.

Students will continue to work on study packet for "Call of the Wild" unit test.  They will listen to audiobook readings by various narrators.

Group reports on healthcare professions continuing and completed.  Students will begin to study the different health care plans available which include the varying options include and the affect that the Affordable Care act has had on consumers as well as health care agencies.

The World History class will begin studying the life of Indira Ghandi as we continue to examine women in foreign countries as world leaders.

The students in U. S. history began a unit on amendments 11-20.

Begin review for Unit test on novel "Call of the Wild."  Students will complete their remaining assignments in preparation.  A study packet will be given on Wednesday.  Test on Friday or Monday.

Retest for some students in U. S. History class on Bill of Rights.

Students will complete healthcare group projects on a profession in healthcare from entry level to a higher position.  Reports will begin on Wednesday.
